Emerald City Comic Con: All the greatest coverage from Popverse at the first big convention of 2023!
Springtime in Seattle, and Popverse is back on the convention circuit with the 20th annual Emerald City Comic Con
The first big convention of 2023 is almost here - Seattle's Emerald City Comic Con 2023. And yes, Popverse will be there.
ECCC 2023 will take place Thursday, March 2 through Sunday March 5 out of the newly-expanded Seattle Convention Center. Although it's still a while until the show begins, we have confirmed some big guests from the likes of David Tennant and Jeff Smith and the cast of the new Scream movie. Launched in 2003 with roughly 2,500 attendees, ReedPop's Seattle spring comic + pop culture show ECCC has grown to become a big part of the Northwest comics scene. Pre-pandemic, Emerald City Comic Con regularly held crowds of 95,000 and more - and among its many traditions is an annual art book called Monsters & Dames.
Popverse will be in Seattle doing what we've become known for at conventions: livestreams of the biggest panels, interviews with top talent, reports of our favorite talks, and best-in-class reporting on the news and notes that come out of an event this size.

As with New York Comic Con, C2E2, and ECCC in 2022, Popverse filmed (and in some cases livestreaming) panels from the biggest stages of Emerald City Comic Con.
You can watch these livestreams and panel recordings of here at Popverse. We livestreamed the Our Flag Means Death panel and the Cosplay Central Crown Championships free here on the website, with additional panels available by by becoming a Popverse member at the 'Fan' level (or higher) or buying a ECCC 2023 digital ticket. The OFMD and Mark Ruffalo panels were available on VOD for two weeks after the panels ended.
The ECCC digital ticket gives you access to all the panels filmed at Emerald City Comic Con 2023, as well as access to all the great members-only content on Popverse for 30 days. The annual Popverse membership includes live video panels from upcoming shows such as Chicago's C2E2, MCM London Comic Con, and the epic New York Comic Con.

In addition to filming many of ECCC's top panels, the Popverse team of Editor-in-Chief Chris Arrant, Deputy Editor Tiffany Babb, Video Editor/Admin Veronica Valencia, Video Producer Ashley V. Popverse & ReedPop's industry slate
At this year’s Emerald City Comic Con 2023, ReedPop has more to offer than just a packed weekend of panels and a guest list that includes Mark Ruffalo, the casts of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Scream, Arrow, and Our Flag Means Death. For the first time, the ReedPop convention will also feature a track of Creator and Pro programming, including a retailer breakfast presented by comic distribution company Lunar, and a raft of panels aimed specifically at comic industry professionals.
The ECCC 2023 pro/creator programming track will begin Thursday, March 2 with the Lunar Distribution Retailer Breakfast from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in room 331. This will be one-part presentation, one-part mixer, with a side of breakfast - all you need is a pro-badge and to register with Lunar Distribution.
On Thursday evening, ReedPop will be hosting a Creator Mixer at the the nearby Sheraton Grand Seattle in the lobby next to its Starbucks. This event is scheduled to run from 8:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with bartenders crafting cocktails and mocktails for purchase.
In addition to that, ReedPop will be offering the following panels at ECCC '23 with the industry professional in mind.
