Magic: The Gathering's Edge of Eternities set is pretty darn gorgeous. The space opera-themed set features a lush setting full of magentas, rich purples, and a smattering of gold to remind us that we are in space, after all. Edge of Eternities is shaking up the status quo for Magic: The Gathering, and it's fitting that Wizards of the Coast leans into the vibes of the set with everything they've got.
As it turns out, what they've got is the capacity to build a stellar playlist based around the setting of Edge of Eternities. On the official Magic: The Gathering YouTube page, there's a new video up called Cosmic Synthwave Playlist | Edge of Eternities playlist that's a solid hour of heavy synths to guide you on your way to building your EOE deck. Take a listen below.
Magic: The Gathering has also done playlists for other sets, like Lo-Fi Beats to Drift To for their Aetherdrift set and an official soundtrack for Streets of New Capenna. But dare we say that the Cosmic Synthwave for Edge of Eternities just... hits different? Part of the beauty of EOE is that the aesthetic of the set is unlike anything we've seen in Magic before. It's not beholden to a sense of realism. And with a well-curated playlist at our disposal, we can truly get lost in the wonders of what MTG has created here with this set.
Plus, there's something to be said for a playlist on YouTube that utilizes smooth transitions between songs. Kudos to those at Wizards of the Coast who put this together.
