While audiences wait (im)patiently for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse to arrive in theaters — or, indeed, be completed — they’re apparently finding positive ways to distract themselves, with the news that collected editions featuring both Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales are being rushed back to press from Marvel.

According to a retailer mailing, both Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse and Spider-Man: Miles Morales Vol. 1 have sold out, and are in the process of being reprinted.

It’s easy to see why both books are resonating with movie audiences: The first volume of the Miles Morales series sees the hero try to juggle life and superheroing, as Miles does in the movie, while Gwenverse sees Gwen Stacy travel the multiverse to encounter many different versions of herself… each one taking on the mantle of a different Marvel hero. Sure, it might not be the kind of thing that reveals just what happens after the cliffhanger ending of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse... but it's almost as if fans had the chance to read what happened just before that movie, and that's not nothing, let's be honest.

While the two books are sold out at the distributor level, copies may still be available via individual retailers, so hit up your local comic store if you’re curious; alternately, digital editions are also still available.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters March 29, 2024. Keep up to date with upcoming superhero movie release dates right here.

There’s an all-new Gwen Stacy series on its way.
