With the premiere of the Amazon Prime adaptation of Paper Girls on the horizon, let’s catch up with Brian K. Vaughan with a recorded discussion held at New York Comic Con 2021 about some of his most popular works and his excitement about the TV series adaptation.

Popverse will be adding great panels from the ReedPop archives each week, as well as livestreaming panels from the upcoming C2E2, Emerald City Comic Con, and New York Comic Con. These are benefits for Popverse members, so if you haven't signed up yet, there's still time.

Leading the panel, Vaughan surprised fans when Fiona Staples, comic artist for Saga, joined via video chat to discuss the series’ return, touching upon the creative process of working on a story of a family.

Vaughan then spoke about the many media adaptations of his work, how he likes seeing new versions of his classic stories, what he wanted to do with Paper Girls, collaborating on comics, and even shared some advice given from the great Neil Gaiman.

Don't call lying cat, because this isn’t a lie-- you can find the full panel here:

Come back to Popverse for more panels from New York Comic Con - and other ReedPop shows - added weekly.
