DC Comics has a message for the Absolute Batman TikTok guy: “We love it. Thank you.”

The team behind Absolute Batman has been overwhelmed by the series success on TikTok

If you’re on TikTok there’s a chance you’ve come across Saad Ahmad’s Batman videos. Ahmad, who posts on the account @saadleup, is known for his detailed cosplay, including a comic-accurate version of the Absolute Batman suit. Ahmad performs fun little skits in costume, including a fun one where Batman has a comedic reaction to seeing the design for Absolute Joker.

DC executive editor Chris Conroy, who oversees the Absolute line, believes that the videos, like the ones Ahmad creates, are part of the reason why Absolute Batman has been such a success.

“I can’t believe it,” DC Comics executive editor Chris Conroy tells Popverse. “I cannot believe the TikTok memes. [Turns to camera] To the guy who dresses up as Absolute Batman and does videos, if you are out there, we love it. Thank you. I could not believe the uptake on this. Nobody involved could.”

“That was a team of stars that we put together there, and we knew that they were big and that they would get attention. But to a person, everybody has been like, 'This is blowing our hair back.' We did not expect this.”
