DC launches Absolute Catwoman book

The six-issue Absolute Catwoman sees Scott Snyder team with Che Grayson and Bengal an all-new DC Absolute title next year

Having raised eyebrows and heart rates with her debut appearance in Absolute Batman #13, Selina Kyle has become a literal breakout star of DC’s Absolute Universe — with news coming from New York Comic Con 2025 that an Absolute Catwoman series is coming in 2026 to spotlight the character.

A six issue series spinning out of Absolute Batman, the series will be co-written by Absolute Batman writer Scott Snyder and Che Grayson, with art from Bengal. Plot details are being kept under wraps as of writing, but the series is expected to be released in mid-2026 as the Absolute Universe continues to grow inside the wider DC cosmology. (The image above comes from Clay Mann's variant cover for Absolute Batman #13; no art has been released for Absolute Catwoman as of writing.)

Absolute Catwoman will be only the seventh DC Absolute title — following Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman, Absolute Superman, Absolute Flash, Absolute Green Lantern, and Absolute Martian Manhunter — and the second miniseries to be announced for the line, following Absolute Martian Manhunter. That series was popular enough to be extended from six issues to twelve... could Absolute Selina steal some more issues herself...? We'll have to wait to see.

Absolute Catwoman will launch in 2025.

New York Comic Con 2025 continues through Sunday, October 12.
