Russia's most famous superheroes Magik & Colossus team up for new Marvel series

The superpowered siblings are getting their own limited series, as announced at New York Comic Con 2025

Greetings, comrade! Marvel Comics has confirmed that two of the most popular and enduring superheroes to come out of Mother Russia are joining forces in the new year, and they’ve got some catching up to do. As we reported during our liveblog of the Marvel Comics: X-Men panel during New York Comic Con, Magik and Colossus are teaming up for a new limited series starting in February 2026.

Details are still sparse on this book. We know that it will be a limited series, running for five issues starting in February 2026. Magik & Colossus is written by Ashley Allen, with art by German Peralta and a variant cover by David Nakayama. No plot details were announced, leaving us to speculate about what these two siblings will get up to during their upcoming team-up comic.

Colossus is the better-known of the two characters, having appeared in most X-Men media released over the years. He’s big and metal and tough. He’s alternated between being a hero and villain over the years, but most of the time Colossus ends up as a member of the X-Men rather than a foe.

Magik is possibly a little more obscure, despite being Colossus’ sister and a longtime member of the X-Men across the past decade or so. Her mutant abilities are a bit more fluid: they allow her to teleport using the magic of Limbo, where she was imprisoned for a time. Together, the pair make an interesting combo, with Colossus’ brute strength coupled with Magik’s mobility and magical abilities - and the fact that the two have a deeply complicated family history. (Remember when Magik basically tricked Colossus into accepting the power - and curse? - of Cyttorak?)

Magik & Colossus #1 hits shelves in February 2026 and will be the first of a five-issue limited series.
