Our most anticipated Artist Alley booths at New York Comic Con 2025

This year's Artist Alley at NYCC includes some industry staples from DC and Marvel, indie favorites, and a hip hop icon.

One of the biggest draws of New York Comic-Con is always Artist Alley. No other convention brings together quite as many big names from across the comic book world, so if you’re looking to pick up a print or commission from the authors and artists behind your favorite comics, this is your chance. There are dozens of stalls to choose from in Artist Alley NYCC, but we’ve done the (painstaking) work to narrow it down to the ones that we’re most excited about.

Of course, this is only our opinion; if you want the full NYCC Arist Alley experience, you can check out the full listing on the show website right now. Or, better yet, walk the stalls and see it all for yourself this October.

Tom King – Booth H-30

When Superman soared at the box office this year, it not only set up the DCU as a whole but also directly set up the new Supergirl movie coming in 2026. We don’t know all the details of that movie, but we do know that it is based on Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, written by Tom King. This, along with his work on Batman/Catwoman and his run on Mister Miracle, makes King a prime stall to hit in Artist Alley.

Stephanie Williams – Booth G-34

There are plenty of standout comics from Stephanie Williams that we could hype up here. Nubia & The Amazons is a fantastic royal adventure, and we adore her take on Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. However, there is part of us that can’t help but be excited for her reimagining of Street Sharks (yes, Street Sharks). The '90s kids in us still can’t imagine anything cooler.

Natalie Andrewson – Booth C35

It isn’t just art styles that impact how a piece turns out; there are also printing techniques to consider. Natalie Andrewson’s work includes The Nutcracker and the Mouse King as well as a selection of fantasy-inspired prints made using a Riso printer. This is a printer that creates an image in layers, giving the print a unique texture and feel.

Scott Snyder – Booth H-44

The biggest thing in DC comics at the moment has been the Absolute line of comics, which Scott Snyder has been instrumental in. In addition to returning to DC to help spearhead the All In initiative, Snyder has written the highly successful Absolute Batman run. He’ll be in Artist Alley at New York Comic-Con this year when he isn’t featuring on panels, so be sure to check his schedule before trying to catch him at his booth.

Mitch Gerads – Booth H-29

Mister Miracle

Mitch Gerads brings a wonderful sense of humanity and vulnerability to his artwork, even when he is illustrating some of the most outlandish and surreal characters in DC Comics. We love his work on Strange Adventures and Mister Miracle, plus he’s done some great Batman covers over the years. All of these and more should be available at his Artist Alley booth at NYCC this year.

Donny Cates – Booth F-43

God Country #6 excerpt

Comics writer Donny Cates is a real X-factor - and I'm not teasing his next big comic project. For a few years, he was the hottest up-and-coming creator in some time, delivering hit after hit with God Country, Rednecks, Thanos (with Cosmic Ghost Rider), Venom (with Knull), and more. Following a serious car accident and other issues in 2022, Cates took a hard break from comics to focus on recovery. But in the past few months, he's been re-emerging, and we're excited to see what comes next for him.

DMC – Booth F-28

Yes, we’re talking about the iconic rapper and member of Run-DMC. After a career of pioneering hip hop, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels has also founded Darryl Makes Comics, which published a fictionalized version of himself saving the day in 1985 New York City. DMC has been a fan of comics since he was young, so we’re excited to get to see him at New York Comic-Con’s Artist Alley.

Daniel Warren Johnson – Booth L-12

One thing you can’t say about Daniel Warren Johnson is that he’s afraid to get weird with his writing. His series The Jurassic League, which reimagines DC’s most iconic superhero team as anthropomorphic dinosaurs, is evidence of that. He just finished writing Transformers and The Moon is Following Us, which is both otherworldly and heartbreaking at the same time.

Andrew Drilon – Booth L-18

Andrew Drilon not only works on multiple comic books at a time, but he also chronicles his experiences in his YouTube channel, ComicBooker. He has a wealth of insight into both the large and small press comic book industry, so it is worth checking out his Artist Alley booth at NYCC just for that.
