Star Wars & the murder of Yaddle by Count Dooku are being re-lived (and explored) in July's Jedi Knights #5

Witness the final turn of Count Dooku from Jedi to Sith Lord in Star Wars: Jedi Knights #5.

Count Dooku's lightsaber battle against Yoda is one of the high points of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, however it was revealed recently that when Christopher Lee's fallen Jedi villain first turned to the Dark Side, he did it by killing who many of us see as the spiritual sister of Yoda, the Jedi Master Yaddle. Now, in an upcoming issue of Marvel Comics' in-continuity series Star Wars: Jedi Knights, they're revisiting that battle - and the final blow - previously seen in the animated series Tales of the Jedi.

Star Wars: Jedi Knights is by longtime Arrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim and frequent Star Wars artist Madibek Musabekov. Here's a preview of July 2's Star Wars: Jedi Knights #5, showing the final seconds of Yaddle's life - as well as the beginnings of what led up to it:

Star Wars: Jedi Knights #5 goes on sale July 2. If you're the collections type, this series' first storyline (including this issue) goes on sale November 4 as Star Wars: Jedi Knights Vol. 1- Guardians of the Republic.
