The Popverse coverage of the ComicsPRO Annual Meeting 2026 is brought to you by Lunar Distribution. Commited to Retailers. Focused on the Future of Comics.

For years, the Teen Titans weren’t just a group of sidekicks but were a core part of the DC Comics universe, but it has been a while since their comic book version has gotten the same love that they have on the small screen. That is set to change as DC has finally confirmed the long-rumored revamp of Teen Titans as part of the DC: Next Level initiative.

DC Next Level was announced in 2025 as “a new publishing initiative spotlighting characters like Batwoman, Deathstroke, The Demon, Firestorm, Lobo, Barbara Gordon, Zatanna, the Teen Titans, and more,” but didn’t confirm if that would be a new comic book run or a one-off of the iconic team - although there was a clear tease in that direction. It has been more than five years since DC has had an ongoing Teen Titans series, but that looks set to change.

At the annual Comics PRO event, DC announced that the next major Next Level series would, in fact, be Teen Titans. It features a new line-up, with Red Hood joining a “new generation of plugged-in, hyper-capable young heroes” to uncover the truth behind a network of missing superpowered teens. DC says this new Teen Titans’ mission is to “find them and expose the lie dividing the world.”

DC says their new Teen Titans series will launch in summer 2026 and will feature Kyle Higgins writing and Daniele Di Nicuolo on art. The two previously worked together on the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: Shattered Grid comic. Di Nicuolo created the concept art shown above. The Teen Titans are coming back and have a whole new line-up and a new mystery to solve.
