MCM London 2021 | John Paul Leon Tribute

A tribute to the life and work of JOHN PAUL LEON "the artist's artist". JP spent his entire 30-year professional career, beginning in 1991, dedicated to the craft of sequential illustration and superhero comic books. He passed away this May 2nd after a 14-year battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy as one of the most talented and respected modern day artists in the industry. We will take a look inside his portfolio, from his initial try-out amateur sample pages as a teenager, to his debut as the original artist on DC Comics STATIC (Shock), his pivotal work on Marvel Comics EARTH X, thru his artistic process on his critically-acclaimed creator-owned series THE WINTER MEN and his final years on BATMAN CREATURE OF THE NIGHT, JUPITERS LEGACY REQUIUM and BATMAN/CATWOMAN, including never-before-seen work as we celebrate the life and art of JOHN PAUL LEON.
