NYCC 2021 | Hip-Hop and Comics: Cultures Combining

Sat, Oct 9, 2021 6:45 PM - 7:45 PM Room 406.3
Hip-Hop and comics exist in constant communication: namechecking and reflecting each other, trading ideas back and forth, sharing common influences, pushing forward boundaries of technology and creativity, intersecting in exciting and innovative ways. And as 2021 marks the 35th anniversary of Eric Orr's Rappin' Max Robot, the first Hip-Hop comic book – and the 10th year of this panel as part of NYCC programming – curator + moderator Patrick A. Reed has assembled an all-star group of speakers to discuss these two forms' ongoing impact on popular culture.
