Fans of the DC zombie superhero series DCeased don't have long to wait for the next chapter, as the grand finale - DCeased: War of the Undead Gods - comes in less than a month ... and we have a big honkin' preview of DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #1.

Check out this unlettered preview of DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #1 by Tom Taylor and Trevor Hairsine:

"What began as a battle for Earth has become a war for the galaxy!," reads DC's description of DCeased: War of the Undead Gods. "The emergence of a reborn, undead Darkseid in DCeased: Dead Planet sets the stage for the most devastating conflict yet for Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman! As the Anti-Life Equation spreads into the cosmos, the survivors of Earth prepare for the coming apocalypse and realize their only hope could lie in the most powerful surviving hero from the first DCeased series."

And while zombie series have a habit of coming back to life, DC has confirmed that DCeased: War of the Undead Gods will be the final chapter of the series.

The debut issue of DCeased: War of the Undead Gods will feature a main card stock cover from Hairsine as well as variant covers from Dan Mora, Kael Ngu, Francesco Mattina, and Sun Khamunaki. The variant covers for issues 1-4 from Dan Mora will connect to form a larger image which serves as a homage to X-Men #1 by Jim Lee and Scott Williams.

DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #1 (of 8) will be available at comic shops as well as participating digital platforms on Tuesday, August 9 and will release monthly.
