On Thursday the fifth and newest season of RuPaul's Drag Race UK premiered. To celebrate this beloved international season a day early, on Wednesday a pink carpet premiere was held in Hollywood and Popverse was invited. Iconic drag queens, performers, and celebrities from across the franchise showed out to welcome the latest crop of competitors to the world including Cheryl Hole, Blu Hydrangea, Leland, Aurora Foxe, Calix Quan, Kimora Blac, Adam Shankman, and more. The premier episode was full of trips, tricks, and stunts - but no spoilers here for anyone who hasn't had a chance to watch on Wow Presents Plus just yet!

Happily for us, Popverse’s Ashley V. Robinson was in attendance to ask all the most important questions of pink carpet guests including: which fictional character would look best in drag?

Answers ran the gamut fromthe world of comic books (X-Men fans will be very happy to see our mutuants well represented!), to anime, to the world of Disney animation.

"All Disney villains are drag queens. It's a well known fact." director, choreographer, and guest judge from across the Drag Race franchise, Adam Shankman tells Popverse, “Like, it's a well known fact. Well, I think - Cruella de Vil is a drag queen. They're all f-- drag queens.”

Here is our 3-minute interview highlight from the pink carpet with A'Whora, Dahlia Sin, Scarlett BoBo, Kimora Blac, Prince, Joey Jay, Calix Quan, Aurora Foxe, Leland, Arisce Wanzer, Adam Shankman, and Anita Diemund.
