Dimension 20 as a play-at-home game? Dropout's Sam Reich says it's in the works
Yep, we have the same question you do. But let's let Dropout CEO Reich announce Dimension 20's first trans-media enterprise before we start postulating

Dimension 20 is coming to a living room near you. Er, wait - Dimension 20 the game is coming to a living room near you. Er, wait...
OK, bear with me here as we get into a big news story coming out of the hallowed halls of Dropout recently: that is, that a Dimension 20 board game will soon be available to purchase (there we go!). In other words, the Dropout-streaming series, which is one of the most-viewed TTRPG actual play series in existence, will soon switch mediums to allow fans to be a part of the action in a way they never have before.
The news comes straight from the most reliable Dropout source there is, CEO Sam Reich. Recently, the Game Changer host sat down with Variety to talk about how that series was getting its own board game treatment, but toward the end of the discussion, decided to go on record about a similar development with their most-viewed streaming series
"We are actively working on how Dimension 20 would translate to this medium," Reich said of the board game industry, "In fact, we think we have an idea that we’re excited about, so we’ve got that far."
Alright - time to bring up what we're all thinking: wouldn't a Dimension 20 game be... Dungeons & Dragons? 5E is the predominant tabletop model that D20 uses to make their show, after all, although to be fair, they've also used systems like Kids on Brooms before, and their newest season, City Council of Darkness, uses Vampire: The Masquerade as its base. So how does a Dimension 20-themed boardgame even work, outside of what we've just listed or possibly even outside the TTRPG sphere altogether?
Reich isn't saying just yet, but to be fair, this humble reporter has reason to believe that they've got a way to build a D20 game already figured out. Why is that my opinion? Well, because the crew behind it isn't only working on figuring out how to make a D20 board game.
"We’re simultaneously putting a little bit of gentle thought into how any of this would or could translate, not into physical games," Reich concluded. "But into digital games. So all of that is in the works."
I guess that's why they call you the game changer, Sam. In more ways than one.
Dimension 20 is streaming now on Dropout.tv.
