Game developers often put a lot of time and effort into making their games as pretty as possible. However, that doesn’t do them any good if no one can see the world they’ve created. While Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time has been a surprising hit on consoles and PC, the camera has become one of the biggest complaints we’ve seen about it. Thankfully, a patch for Fantasy Life i is on its way in June that will allow you to have greater control of the camera.
That is good news for fans who have been drawn into the combination of farming sim and JRPG that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time delivers. There are some lush, vibrant environments in the game, but the camera has a fixed, downward angle that makes it difficult to actually appreciate. However, Akihiro Hino, the CEO of Level-5, the company that developed the Fantasy Life series, has said that he’s heard fan complaints and a fix is on its way.
“Thank you to everyone who has played Fantasy Life i,” Hino wrote on social media this week. “We will implement the viewpoint that allows you to see the map from a long distance, which was requested by many people.” Hino also confirmed that the update will be rolled out in mid-June, though different consoles will get the update at different times.
Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is out now for Switch, PlayStation, PC, and Switch 2 (if you were lucky enough to get one at launch).
