It turns out that voice actors have just as much fun speculating about theories as we do. For Kellen Goff and Marta Svetek, this is great, because Five Nights at Freddy’s is a treasure trove for theorists.
Speaking to a crowd at FNAF spotlight panel at Animate! Miami 2025, Goff (who voices Freddy Fazbear, Funtime Freddy, or Glamrock Freddy) and Svetek (who voices Roxanne Wolf, Vanny, and Gregory) shared some of their favorite fan theories.
“Now I want to preface this. Just because it’s our favorite doesn’t mean it’s true or we’re confirming anything,” Goff warned. “That said, I do like the theory that the soul of Michael is in Glamrock Freddy, and that he’s trying to make up for what he did back then to his little brother. Again, all speculation, none of it is actually canon, but I do like thinking that’s his motivation behind trying to protect Gregory.”
“Honestly, I wouldn’t even be able to confirm, because I specifically tell them to not tell me things, so I can’t actually spoil anything, even if I wanted to,” Svetek said. “I don’t even want the ability to confirm or deny something. That said, I really enjoy the various Gregory theories. I really enjoy them. There’s the robot one, there’s all these other reasons for why Roxanne has the fixation. There’s just something so interesting happening with the character that you really just don’t know where it’s going to happen next.”
“You can see it go one way or another, but there really is just some profound connection between the two, especially when you see how Roxanne treats Cassie. Theories surrounding that, I always love listening to them, because I genuinely want to know what the deal is, and I don’t. “I want to find out as everybody finds out. Or if in the future I get to read something, I want to find out. But as of right now, I know as much as you. I have no idea,” Svetek continued.
This makes me wonder if they ever browse the FNAF Reddit page for theories. If you’ve ever posted on there, it’s possible the cast has read it.
