Everyone, even us, is living in a half-expectation that Grand Theft Auto 6 is going to get delayed into 2027. While Rockstar and parent company Take-Two have been secretive about the GTA 6 price at launch, they have repeatedly assured fans that the November 19, 2026 release date is still holding. Just last week, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed (again) that the GTA 6 release date isn’t going to change because people keep asking him about it.

Ahead of the Take-Two Interactive earnings report last week, CEO Strauss Zelnick reiterated (again) that GTA 6 is still on track to release in November. “I think reiterating November 19 as is a launch day today is probably a positive,” he explained ahead of the May 21 earnings report. “I think we’ve been really clear that we’re releasing the title on November 19.”

To further cement their commitment to releasing Grand Theft Auto 6 on time, Zelnick suggested that marketing for the title would begin in earnest in Summer 2026, which appears to mean the end of June. “So the next few weeks I don’t think it’ll be summertime yet, but when it’s summertime, Rockstar expects to start marketing GTA 6.”

That lack of marketing is likely why we still don’t know what the GTA 6 price will be. That information will probably come once pre-orders begin. Which, again, is going to be shortly after marketing begins in full swing. It is expected that GTA 6 will cost around $80 at launch, which would put it on the higher end of game prices.

The Grand Theft Auto 6 release date remains November 19, 2026 and the marketing machine that will push it to become one of the biggest games of all time should be kicking off at the start of summer.
