Marvel Rivals’ new Ice Phoenix skin gives Jean Grey a look Emma Frost would be jealous of
Jean Grey's Ice Phoenix skin in Marvel Rivals is absolutely fire (I'll show myself out)

If there is one thing that the X-Men are known for - other than never-ending drama - it's looking stylish. Unlike other superhero groups in comics, the X-Men's costumes are constantly evolving. As a result, it's been wise for Marvel Rivals to be proactive about bringing some of Marvel's Merry Mutants' most iconic outfits to life as in-game skins. If you talk to just about any longtime X-Men reader, they're bound to have strong opinions about what Wolverine's best costume is. (The correct answer is his New X-Men outfit, there, I said it.) But enough about Logan, let's take a look at the amazing new Ice Phoenix skin, now available in the Marvel Rivals game store.
In the skin's trailer, Jean Grey ditches her default green and yellow Phoenix outfit for an icy, figure skating-inspired outfit for both her and the Phoenix Force hovering over her shoulder. She also sports a different hairstyle, one that wouldn't look too out of place at one of the X-Men's Hellfire Galas on Krakoa (someone please keep Jean away from Moira X before she gets stabbed again). Take a look at the skin's trailer below.
Listen, I'm not one to question Emma Frost's sartorial choices, but even though the White Queen's default outfit in Marvel Rivals was made by Jumbo Carnation himself, I can't say that it's my favorite Emma look. Now, if Emma Frost were to get a skin similar to Jean's Ice Phoenix look, I would run, not walk, to the Marvel Rivals store to exchange some currency. All the X-Women deserve to look their best (except for you, Moira). Here's to hoping more skins are to come for Emma Frost.
