Former Mighty Morphin Power Rangers star Jason David Frank has died, Popverse has confirmed.

"Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being," Frank's manager, Justine Hunt, says in a statement. "He loved his family, friends and fans very much. He will be truly missed."

Frank is best known for his role as Tommy Oliver in the Power Rangers tv/film franchise - appearing at various times as the Green Ranger, White Ranger, Red Zeo, Red Turbo Ranger, and the Black Dino Thunder Ranger.

Frank recently filmed a role in the Kickstarter-funded film Legend of the White Dragon, which is set to debut sometime in 2023.

Frank's co-star in the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Walter Emanual Jones, wrote on Instagram "Can't believe it... RIP Jason David Frank. My heart is sad to have lost another member of our special family."

Frank is survived by two daughters and two sons.
