Marvel's Next Big Thing panel is always one to watch out for, and we're expecting a whole lot of announcements at this year's New York Comic Con Next Big Thing taking place Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 3:15 PM - 4:15 PM Eastern.

As for what to expect this year, Marvel's official panel description reads: "This is it, True Believers – The panel you’ve all been waiting for! Join Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski as he and some of the most monumental talent of today - including Gerry Duggan (X-Men, Uncanny Avengers), Jonathan Hickman (G.O.D.S., Ultimate Universe) and Jed MacKay (Avengers, Moon Knight) – give a behind-the-scenes look at Marvel’s biggest books while peeling back the curtain on the future of the Marvel Universe. Filled to the brim with announcements, first-looks, and tantalizing teases (including a special look at the biggest Marvel Comics story of 2024), this is THE can’t-miss Marvel panel of New York Comic-Con! Don’t forget to stay ‘til the end for the one-of-a-kind giveaway."

Our live coverage of this event has finished.

We're having some wifi issues, please hold
Okay, I'm in the room, and it looks like wifi is working for me (so far).
(I am Tiffany, btw). The panel is already off and chatting Resurrection of Magneto.
We're seeing some really cool art from FAll of the House of X, Rise of the Powers of X
We're getting a trailer with a paw and infinity stones. Infinity Paws!
From Jason Loo and Nao Fuji. "The Clawsover of the Century."
CB Cebulski says that "this is one that we're really proud of..." Infinity Paws will be crossing over Jeff the Landshark, Lucky, Alligator Loki, and Marvel Meow. "We just found out that Jeff the Landshark has been read over one million times on the Marvel App."
Now for another comics trailer...
Avengers: Twilight from Chip Zdarsky and Daniel Acuna will be hitting stores in January 2024. And We've just been joined by Zdarsky himself!
This story will run six issues. Cebulski says "to have Chip on this is something special."
Jokes being made about Zdarsky working on Batman at "that other company"
Chip Zdarsky just ran into the crowd giving high fives on his way out.
Now we're talking Marvel G.O.D.S, and Jonathan Hickman in here along with Valerio Schiti.
"It's crazy. I broke the bible four or five years ago," Hickman says. Schiti has been working on the series for a year. "It's just a lot of fun and beautiful art," Hickman says.
"There's a lot to do. We meet a lot of new characters, a lot of new worlds," Schitti shares about the project.
"There's a frog at some point," Hickman responds when asked what's cool that's coming up.
We're now watching a trailer for G.O.D.S. It has dialogue, from the Bible about the fruit in the Garden of Eden. Followed by the question "Is the juice worth the squeeze." We also see the appearance of a library "the real one, a library of worlds."
Schitti is leaving the stage, but Hickman is staying...
To talk about the Ultimate Universe!
Looks like we're getting some announcements.. We're getting another trailer, this time starting with Thor and Mjolnir.
Ultimate Black Panther?
Ultimate X-Men?
Peach Momoko will be on Ultimate X-Men, Bryan Edward Hill and Stefano Caselli will be on Ultimate Black Panther.
As for Ultimate Spider-Man, Hickman shares that there will be a lot people will be surprised by. It will be more like Ultimate Peter B. Parker, Hickman says, a "mid-life" take on the story.
Btw, the U shaped logos are unique to each book. With the Spider-Man one with a spider in it, Black Panther with a mask, and onwards...
We may have gotten a tease for Ultimate Moon Knight? But I'm not sure, so don't quote me on that!!!
Jed McKay is here!
There's a lot of teasing going. Talks of Moon Knight, Doctor Strange, The Avengers...
"We're kind of turning up the heat on everybody," McKay says.
Moon Knight... Dracula?
Another trailer... There are vampires. A lot of vampires. And the title is Blood Hunt. A story from Jed McKay, Pepe Larraz, Marte Gracia. This starts next May.
The tag line is "Who will bite it?" and the art we're seeing shows the Avengers fighting against a LOT of vampires. "This is something that's been building for a while," Cebulski says.
"We've got the Avengers obviously... Doctor Strange, Miles Morales, and of course where there's vampires, you're going to find Blade," McKay says. "You're going to see a lot of vampires."
"It's not just history," McKay says, "You call it bad blood."
Cebulski says taht this event will change things, "Things are going to be different." McKay says that this is one of the biggest things he's ever done and what's coming after that is even bigger.
And fans are getting Blood Hunt Variants on their way out of the room today. Pretty cool.
And it looks like we're wrapping up! Thanks for following along friends!
