Avengers: Doomsday director isn't too worried about spoilers, because there has to be more than surprises to make a good movie
Joe Russo, one half of the Russo Brothers, has accepted that "you can't control everything" when you direct a movie like Avengers: Doomsday

Anyone else remember Marvel Studios' "Don't spoil the Endgame" campaign in the lead-up to the release of Avengers: Endgame? In an effort to curb the movie's plot from getting spoiled by fans, Marvel Studios encouraged fans to, you guessed it, "not spoil the Endgame" after seeing the movie. But that was then. What about the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, though?
Joe Russo, one half of the Russo directing brothers who helmed Avengers: Endgame and Doomsday, expressed that he isn't as worried about spoilers because he's focused on making a film that will stand the test of time. In an interview with UK newspaper Metro, Russo said, "We design these films to unfold in a certain way, and we want audiences to feel those moments as intended... But at the same time, you can’t control everything. You have to focus on making something that holds up beyond the initial surprise."
Elsewhere in the interview, Russo had said that spoiler culture can "be over-policed," which makes me curious as to why he feels that way... especially considering the previously discussed "Don't spoil the Endgme" campaign he was involved in. That said, who am I to question one of the men behind some of the biggest blockbusters of our time?
Whatever ends up happening, (Avengers:) Doomsday will come for us all on December 18, 2026.
