The Gunn Brothers are two of the closest fraternal collaborators in Hollywood today. Actor Sean Gunn has appeared in several of his director brother James's films, playing Rocket Raccoon on set of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies while also playing the Ravager Kraglin in the same film series. Sean even made an appearance as Maxwell Lord in James Gunn's Superman film last summer.

Movie sets can be a fraught place, but for the Gunn Brothers, making the Guardians of the Galaxy movies was a place where they could make wholesome memories. At Emerald City Comic Con 2026, a fan asked Sean Gunn at the Guardians of the Galaxy panel what his most wholesome memory was while filming the series.

"My wholesome memory with my brother is dancing at the end of the third movie. So when we're dancing to Florence + the Machine, I'm dancing as Rocket, and James, any time Groot dances, James does the motion reference for Groot. And so at the end of that movie when those two are dancing together, that's James and I dancing, which, I know, deserves an 'aww,'" Sean Gunn said.

You can get a look at how the VFX team from Framestore transformed Director Gunn from his human self into a Flora colossus in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's final dance scene.
