If Hulu audiences want one thing, it’s the Yautja. The streaming platform has announced that Predator: Badlands has become its most-watched movie premiere on the platform since… well, the 2022 debut of the last live-action Predator movie, Prey.

Per the Walt Disney Company, Predator: Badlands has been streamed nearly 9 million times since its debut on the platform February 12, making it the #1 movie on Hulu for the last three years. This follows a franchise-best opening for Badlands when it was released theatrically in November 2025; the movie grossed $40 million domestically in its opening weekend, and twice that globally; by the end of its theatrical run, it had taken in a record $184.5 million around the world.

Hulu has identified that Badlands is its most-watched debut since 2022’s Prey, but has not released information on how many views that movie received in its opening week. It did, however, reveal that the Predator franchise as a whole has been streamed for more than 300 million hours across both Hulu and Disney+ worldwide by this point.

Fans worried that the news that Prey and Predator: Badlands director Dan Trachtenberg has signed a new contract with Paramount — which, notably, is not 20th Century Studios, the owners of Predator — meant that any potential new Predator movies might be delayed while a new creative lead was identified. Trachtenberg himself has since clarified that he is remaining in charge of the Predators moving forward, despite the new deal.

Predator: Badlands, Prey, and the rest of the Predator franchise is available to stream on Hulu in the U.S., and Disney+ internationally.
