She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany says she's working on a secret movie she can't talk about - could it be Marvel's Deadpool & Wolverine?
Is Marvel Studios planning a surprise appearance from She-Hulk herself, Tatiana Maslany?

Will She-Hulk return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? In 2022 She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premiered on Disney+, giving viewers courtroom antics and meta superhero fun. However, it seems that the legal sitcom was no match for Disney’s bookkeepers. Earlier this year, She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany said a second season was unlikely, do to the first season going over budget.
Just because Jen Walters won’t be in her own show, doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing her elsewhere. After all, the MCU is a big place, and it’s a franchise that loves surprise cameos.
In fact, it’s possible that Maslany has already filmed a cameo. Speaking to a crowd at ACE Superhero Comic Con 2024 this past weekend in a panel moderated by Sean Tajipour, Maslany mentioned that she had just finished working on a secret movie.
“I’m super excited about two movies I did,” Maslany said. “One I can’t mention yet. The other one is called The Monkey, and it’s a Stephen King short story. It’s horror, but also funny.”
The Monkey was filmed earlier this year, but the idea of a second unmentionable movie has us even more curious. What if Maslany is reprising her role as She-Hulk for Deadpool & Wolverine?
It makes a certain kind of sense that Maslany's She-Hulk would be in Deadpool & Wolverine. She, like Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool, frequently talks to the view in a fourth-wall-breaking approach. In a sense, Deadpool walked so She-Hulk could run right into Marvel Studios' offices in the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law season finale. In it she confronted MCU architect Kevin Feige, revealed to be an AI called K.E.V.I.N. And Reynolds' Deadpool has referred to Marvel Studios and Feige himself before in character.
Marvel is notorious for their NDAs, and if Maslany filmed a cameo in an upcoming MCU film, this is the type of thing she might say. On the other hand, I could be grasping at straws. Not every secret film project is a Marvel film, and there’s more to Maslany than She-Hulk.
On the other hand…
(Come to think of it, Deadpool & Wolverine involves the TVA, and the organization played a huge role in Dan Slott’s She-Hulk run….hmmmm)
Or maybe it’s just a rom-com that has nothing to do with Marvel. But that possibility is less exciting. Either way, I’ll be keeping a close eye on Marvel’s upcoming films. You never know when a jolly green lawyer might pop up.
