Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s stunts will be courtesy of Jackie Chan
In the MCU, Peter Parker's moves come from a radioactive spider. But in real life, the flips and tricks that Spider-Man performs will be powered by one of Hollywood's greatest stunt artists, Jackie Chan

Yeah, yeah, we know that Peter Parker can do "whatever a spider can," but that's not the case for everyone who's ever played the character. In order to bring Marvel's wall-crawler to life on the big screen, movie producers have made use of some of the best stunt coordinators in Hollywood history, and it appears that the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be no exception. The next film to star Tom Holland as the titular webhead will feature stunts directed by none other than Jackie Chan himself.
The story comes out of an interview Chan did with Hong Kong news outlet HK01, in which the Karate Kid: Legends star detailed arriving on set for the (currently filming) sequel to Spider-Man: No Way Home.
"My Jackie Chan Stunt Team was busy filming Spider-Man," Chan told his interviewer, which was later translated and reported on by EW. "And I was the action director for the Jackie Chan Stunt Team [...] I went to watch their rehearsals, and the director was so excited when he saw me."
That director is, of course, Destin Daniel Cretton, and while we certainly don't doubt Chan when he says that Cretton was very excited to see him, we'll remind our readers that this technically isn't the first time, Chan has worked on a film directed by Cretton. That would be 2021's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. And after the pair have collaborated on two Marvel projects, the magical Rule of Threes has us wondering whether Chan's team will have anything to do with another action heavy MCU project in the near future.
