MCU leaks are so bad that Sadie Sink found out she was joining the MCU online before Marvel Studios even offered her the part

No, we still don't know who Sadie Sink is playing in the MCU's next Spider-Man adventure. But now, we're wondering whether someone on the internet was naming the character before she got the script

Stranger Things may have ended, but Sadie Sink's tour through pop culture is just beginning. Her first stop, set to release this year, is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spidey saga. As of this writing, we still don't entirely know who Sink will be playing, and apparently, that's just a side effect of a very curious way of sharing studio secrets. In fact, the way Sink tells it, her own casting came to her in an unpredictable way - through the internet before Marvel offered her the part.

Sink discussed all this during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Careful to avoid any spoilers regarding her entrance into the MCU, Sink was still willing to share the story of getting the role - or rather, hearing she got the role and then getting it.

"I found out through online theories," Sink told the talk show host, "Before I got cast in Spider-Man, there was speculation online that said, 'Sadie Sink is gonna be in the new Spider-Man,' I was like, 'I am?' Sure enough, two days later, they asked me to do it! So yeah, those theories, there’s sometimes some truth to it!"

OK, hold up internet sleuths - I know that last sentence of Sink's has you a'buzzing about what truths could be out there (anybody miss The X-Files?), but I don't think we should take it as confirmation that the Reddit hivemind has already cracked the case of her identity. Remember, it wasn't so long ago that Sink seemed to indicate that theorists basing their guesses on the color of her hair were wrong (via Entertainment Weekly). Sure, there's some fun in the idea that the internet's guesses could predict actual insider info, but expecting them to do so is how we get the crazy idea that Chris Evans is returning for Avengers: Doomsday.

Hold on, my editor is Slacking me.

...

Oh.

Marvel's most reliable superhero has proven he can do a whole lot more than just 'whatever a spider can.' Swing into Spidey's history with Popverse's...

Just watch out for that radioactive blood.
