Star Wars: Andor star Diego Luna says Cassian would be fast friends with Han Solo (but annoy C-3PO)

Diego Luna says Cassian Andor would enjoy long sleepless nights getting into trouble with Han Solo, while Threepio would try to get him back on track

When you’re fighting against a Galactic Empire, it helps to have friends by your side. Andor showed us the harsh realities of war, as Cassian Andor was forced to make some hard choices in the name of justice. The morally ambiguous anti-hero made some allies, formed alliances, and fought against fascistic rule before dying on Scarif (as seen in Rogue One). But what if Cassian had survived? Which familiar Rebel heroes would he have befriended if he had been given a chance to meet them?

“Han Solo. Right?” Diego Luna suggested to the crowd when asked that very question during a spotlight panel at MegaCon 2026. “We could be playing on those nights with Melshi, and K2, and myself. Drinking at night in Yavin and playing cards.”

Luna was then asked which Star Wars character would not get along with Cassian, and after careful consideration he had what might be the perfect answer.

“Probably C-3PO. In Mexico, we call it Citripio. Yeah, too serious,” he said. “We all need a little C-3PO to get back on track, but Cassian would have definitely long nights with no sleep with Han Solo.”

As if we didn't have enough reasons to be sad about the fate of Cassian Andor, now we get to be upset that he died on Scarif before Han Solo joined the Rebellion, because this is a team-up that would be fun to see.

Andor and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story are streaming on Disney+.
