Tom Hardy makes a surprise return as Bane... on his new rap album?

No, Tom Hardy is not back as Bane in any cinematic sense. However, fans of the character's portrayal in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy will get a special surprise if they tune in for Hardy's latest venture: a brand-new rap album. And as if "Tom Hardy drops rap album," isn't exciting enough, it's especially cool to consider he actually uses the Bane voice for one particular track.
It was the good folks at Deadline who first broke the news on August 29, announcing the album Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer. Frankie Pulitzer, you might've guessed, is the persona Tom Hardy has adopted to put out the album, much as the Oscar-nominated actor went under a different name to enter a 2022 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open Championship in the UK. To be fair, the name Hardy used for that competition was just "Edward Hardy" - the actor's birth name - so the new Pulitzer title is far less recognizable.
What was quite recognizable, though, was when Hardy rapped using a voice he had developed for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises.
Hardy employs his Bane voice for the track Grim Visaged War, which you can listen to now by clicking the link right there. Appropriately for the character, who once proudly made speeches on the ravaged streets of Gotham, Hardy is heard reciting Shakespeare's "Now is the winter of our discontent" speech from Richard III, the monologue from which the song gets its title.
Unfortunately, Shakespeare's famous king doesn't clarify whether people cared about him before he put on the mask.
