With Superman flying through the air towards box office success this weekend, DC has announced that San Diego Comic-Con 2025 will launch an ambitious decade-long plan to countdown to the company’s 100th anniversary in 2035 — including an interactive exhibits, giveaways, and appearances by some of the biggest names attached to the company today.
The DC Booth in the San Diego Convention Center for SDCC 2025 will celebrate the first decade of DC’s existence, 1935 through 1944, as the beginning of a 10-year build towards the company’s centenary in 2035. Across the next decade, DC will explore its own history in 10-year increments each year as it approaches its 100th anniversary of telling stories featuring some of the world’s most iconic pop culture creations. A newly re-designed booth will feature artwork from the first decade, including the debuts of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, along with early comic book series including New Fun (DC’s first publication), Action Comics, and more.
Fans visiting the booth will be able to pick up a giveaway Daily Planet newspaper all weekend that includes glimpses at some of DC’s biggest upcoming projects, as well as classic house ads from the company’s first decade, and information about what the company has planned for the four-day event in Southern California including panel and signing schedules for the show.

Visitors to the booth will also be able to pick up limited editions of a number of hot recent comic book issues with exclusive covers:
- Absolute Batman #1 with a limited edition cover by Jae Lee
- Absolute Superman #1 with a limited edition cover by Jae Lee
- Absolute Wonder Woman #1 with a limited edition cover by Jae Lee
- Batman #158 with a Bat Symbol cover
- Supergirl #1 with an S-shield cover
- Superman Unlimited #1 with a Superman x Fortnite cover by Jim Lee
- New History of the DC Universe #1 with a limited edition cover by Stanley ‘Artgerm’ Liu
- Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 #1 with a limited edition cover by Kevin Maguire
Additionally, limited edition collections of Absolute Batman Vol. 1, Absolute Wonder Woman Vol. 1 and Absolute Superman Vol. 1, each featuring dust jackets by Jim Lee, will also be available, as will limited edition art prints. The DC Shop inside the booth will also be debuting new merchandise at the show, including a ‘Legends Forever’ hoodie featuring Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman; clothing featuring the new Batman comic book logo, clothing based on Superman, Supergirl, and Krypto (of course), and more. Peacemaker season 2 merch will also be available.
San Diego Comic-Con 2025 runs July 24 through July 27 at the San Diego Convention Center, with the annual Preview Night taking place the evening of July 23. Popverse will be there for the whole thing.
