From what's been released of Peacemaker season 2, we know Maxwell Lord, Guy Gardner, and Hawkgirl will be conducting Justice Gang interviews, looking to expand the squad introduced in the new Superman film. Sean Gunn, who plays Maxwell Lord, recently dished at Fan Expo Chicago on what's going on - and what people could expect.
"It's coming up so soon. I don't know if I can talk about it too much," Gunn says at Fan Expo Chicago. "We're leaving no stone unturned when it comes to recruiting members for the Justice Gang. Let's be frank: Every hero wants in. It's a good gig. So there's a lot of comedy in that. We'll have to see what happens."
A superhero recruitment interview montage has gotten a lot of laughs in movies like Mystery Men and Deadpool 2, where the Merc with a Mouth interviewed prospective candidates for X-Force while rummaging through headshots that include the Notorious RBG Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Gunn describes the tone on set Peacemaker season 2 as great.
"It's a bunch of professionals who are really good people who are passionate about the project," Gunn says at FAN EXPO Chicago. "I think one of the strengths is really getting everybody on board so that they understand the system. This is the story we're telling. This is what we're making. So it's a great set."
Peacemaker season 2 is airing now on HBO Max.
