To celebrate One Piece day, Netflix is releasing the long-awaited trailer for their long-awaited adaptation of the smash hit manga/anime, One Piece. You can watch it above.

The trailer sees main character Monkey D. Luffy, a young pirate with incredible stretch powers, square off with antagonists and set sail for the high seas while trying to prove himself as a pirate.

It also marks the second time we've seen footage of the upcoming Netflix series, after the streaming platform released a teaser trailer for the show earlier in the year. Still, for fans of the anime or original manga by Eiichiro Oda, the footage couldn't have come soon enough, as anticipation gets only higher for the series actual premiere.

The live action adaptation of One Piece stars Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Netflix currently has the release date slated for August 21, 2023.

Until then, fans can check out the anime streaming on Hulu.
