The people love a good Equalizer. Whether that’s Denzel Washington, Queen Latifah, or Edward Woodward, it’s clear that vigilante justice just scratches everyone’s brains the right way. Did I really just say that? Yes I did. Thankfully for us, The Equalizer starring Queen Latifah is back for season 5 this fall on CBS.
It will continue the story about Queen Latifah’s character, Robyn McCall, as she tries to balance her life as the single mother of a teenage girl with her life as a vigilante called The Equalizer. Season 5 of The Equalizer will premiere Sunday, October 27 at 9:00 PM ET and 9:30 PT on CBS before moving to its regular time slot of 9:00 PM ET/PT on Sunday, November 3.
Queen Latifah’s Robyn McCall is the third iteration of The Equalizer that audiences have seen. The first was seen in the 1985 television series starring Edward Woodward that ran for four seasons and was centered on an ex member of intelligence who devoted his time and life to protecting innocent civilians. Denzel Washington played the character in 3 Equalizer films, beginning in 2014, with the third and final film releasing in 2023. Queen Latifah is the first woman to play an Equalizer. It’s clear that the future remains bright for the character.
Season 5 of The Equalizer will premiere on Sunday, October 27 at 9:00 PM ET and 9:30 PT on CBS before moving to the 9:00 ET/PT regular time slot on Sunday, November 3 on CBS.
