The Addams Family's favorite child (sorry Pugsley) returns to star in her own TV series this fall titled Wednesday. And we have a first look, courtesy of Netflix:

Since the series will be exploring more of Wednesday Addams' life than ever before, it's also adding to the mythos by having her attend a boarding school called Nevermore Academy. And as things tend to happen at fictional boarding school, she gets super powers AND there's a murder mystery.

Jenna Ortega stars as Wednesday Addams in this reinterpretation of Charles Addams' classic comic strip series which became a mainstream hit with a TV show, movies, cartoons, and even a Broadway musical.

'Where do I know this actor from?' you might be saying right now, so let us help. Jenna Ortega played the young Jane from CW's Jane the Virgin, and later played Harley in Disney Channel's Stuck in the Middle. If you're a MCU stan, she also played the daughter of US Vice President Rodriguez (played by the late, great Miguel Ferrer) in Iron Man 3.

Ortega is joined on Wednesday by Catherine Zeta-Jones (as Morticia), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley), VIctor Dorobantu (Thing), George Burcea (Lurch), and Luis Guzman (Gomez).

This adaptation is headed up by Tim Burton, along with Smallvile alums Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.
