The Mandalorian theme song shreds in a heavy metal rendition thanks to the Galactic Empire

While Darth Vader would still take the crown as the most metal of all Star Wars characters, the Mandalorian is a close second and could be vying for that title with a new rendition of The Mandalorian theme song released ahead of The Mandalorian season 3's debut on Disney+.

The Star Wars metal band Galactic Empire have recorded a shreddy cover version of Ludwig Göransson's The Mandalorian's TV show theme - complete with a music video to match. Let's watch, shall we?

"Today, we unveil the new single and music video for 'The Mandalorian' directed by the mysterious Sith Lord, Eric DiCarlo. This is all part of Galactic Empire's upcoming third studio album, 'Special Edition,' which will be released on May 5, the day after Star Wars day on May 4. 'Special Edition' will be Galactic Empire's debut with the Pure Noise Records label. The tracklist is as follows:
