Filming Star Wars' Ahsoka season 2 was "magical" for Bryce Dallas Howard, and more fun than Jurassic World or anything else in her adult life
Here’s your hint at what’s to come in the anticipated next chapter of the Disney+ streaming series

During New York Comic Con 2025, actor and director Bryce Dallas Howard sat down in the Pop Spot with Popverse’s Ashley V. Robinson. You’ll recognize Howard’s name thanks to her performances in movies like Lady in the Water and Argylle, and her work directing multiple episodes of the Disney+ Star Wars shows. One interesting detail Howard shared in the Pop Spot was her three-word description of the upcoming season of Star Wars: Ahsoka.
The topic came up when Robinson mentioned that the internet is “quite confident” that Howard would be returning to direct more episodes in Ahsoka season 2. Howard swiftly confirmed this theory. Robinson followed up by asking Howard to tease what fans can expect from the upcoming sophomore season of the Rosario Dawson vehicle. But in order to avoid spoilers, Robinson asked Howard to use “three words or less.”
Howard answered, “Fun, fun and more fun.” She continued: “My experience getting to do it was the most fun that I have had in my adult life… This summer was magical.”
Next, Robinson asked if there was any corner of the Star Wars universe Howard hoped to explore in the future.
“With every single chance I’ve had to direct in Star Wars, there’s been a new opportunity to explore different facets of this galaxy, which is really always very exciting. Mandalorian culture, I was thrilled by getting to play with the Darksaber. The nuance of the techniques. And with Ahsoka, naturally, there are Jedi — or, maybe Jedi… I kept saying, ‘I’m new to The Force! I’m new to The Force!’ Because I didn’t want to invent anything on the spot that wasn’t part of the fabric of it.”
