Gen V season 2 release date: When The Boys spinoff's sophomore season arrives on Prime Video

The second season of The Boys spinoff Gen V is arriving for streaming this fall.

Can't get enough of The Boys on Prime Video? You're in luck: The Boys spinoff Gen V season 2's streaming release date is just around the corner. Like The Boys, Gen V is based on the comics by by Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson and John Higgins. Set against the backdrop of the tyrannical rule of Homelander (Antony Starr), the series follows the efforts of Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) to become the hero she is meant to be.

The Gen V season 2 release date is September 17 on Prime Video. The first three episodes will be available for streaming on that date. The remaining five episodes in the eight episode season will stream weekly thereafter, with the season finale arriving on October 22. It has been a year and a half since Gen V's first season concluded in November 2023. While there are many scintillating TV shows arriving this fall, fans of The Boys will be especially excited about Gen V. Here's the trailer for the season: 

 

The second season of Gen V will give viewers a glimpse of the world that was created at the conclusion of The Boys season 4. The season will see Marie and the other inmates returning to Godolkin University School of Crimefighting as the United States endures the reign of Homelander. The season will also star Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer/Little Cricket, Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap, London Thor and Derek Luh as Jordan Li, Asa Germann as Samuel "Sam" Riordan and Hamish Linklater as Dean Cipher.

Season 2 of Gen V will be released on September 17 on Prime Video.
