Hazbin Hotel creator VivziePop has an idea for another spinoff series beyond Helluva Boss - and we got her to talk about it

We've seen the war between Heaven and Hell in Hazbin Hotel; we've seen the Hellborn in Helluva Boss - where do we go after that? Let VivziePop tell you

Just one day in and there has been a (pardon me) hell of a lot of exciting news for fans of the Hellaverse. Both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss have made quite the showing, including release date reveals and a well-attended panel featuring folks like Erika Henningsen (Charlie Morningstar), Amir Talai (Alastor), Brandon Rogers (Blitzo), Richard Horvitz (Moxie), and creator Vivienne Medrano, also known as VivziePop. But perhaps the most exciting tidbit came from the final person on that list, as VivziePop revealed a secret that the internet has been buzzing about ever since the raunchy, Hell-set musical comedy started streaming.

That is: what a third show set in the Hellaverse would look like.

"It's absolutely something I've thought about," Medrano told Popverse, "And I know exactly what I would do. I guess the safest answer is - I feel like we've explored Heaven and Hell, which is Hazbin. You know, the classic Lucifer and the angels and the Adam and Eve story and things like that. And then Helluva Boss was the way to explore side. What do imps look like? What to Hellhounds look like? What about the Seven Deadly Sins? So it's exploring the Hell society. And we've got the two big parallels in Hell."

"To me," she continued, "the most natural part of this universe that we haven't filly explored is the Earth side. Dealing with things like the Inner Demons or possession or things that affect humanity. I feel like that's the side of the universe that we haven't explored, and I would love to tell a story there."

I'm not gonna lie - it sounds like a lot of thought has gone into that answer, which makes me wonder if this isn't the first time Medrano has spoken about this to someone... maybe even to possible creative partners? And what does she mean by saying that this was "the safest answer?" Just how much has this already been spoken about, and is it possible that there's already a third series in the works behind the scenes?

"We'll see what happens," VivziePop concludes.

Helluva Boss season 1 and 2 come to Prime Video September 10. Hazbin Hotel season 2 arrives October 29.
