How would The Amazing Digital Circus's Jax and Hazbin Hotel's Angel Dust get along? Not well, says Michael Kovach
First of all, says voice actor Kovach, Jax would have to end up in Hell in order to interact with Angel Dust. And I mean, why would *that* happen?

Michael Kovach knows a thing or two about the internet's favorite indie cartoon characters. As the voice of both Angel Dust in the Hazbin Hotel pilot and Jax in The Amazing Digital Circus, few people are better suited to provide a window into these strange, lanky, Tumblr sexymen. And so if the pair were to ever interact, it would be Kovach best suited to predict how that would go...
Even if that interaction wasn't a positive one.
We can be relatively sure of that based on comments Kovach made at LVL UP EXPO 2025, where the voice actor was appearing alongside Amazing Digital Circus costars Lizzie Freeman, Alex Rochon, and Amanda Rufford. Even though the panel was oriented toward GLITCH's existential 3D megahit, folks were there to support all kinds of indie animation, as evidenced by the fan who asked the question at hand:
How would a meeting between Angel Dust and Jax shake out?
"Well, that would entail Jax ending up in Hell somehow," Kovach began, to some laughter from the audience. "I don't know. He's a really good person. I don't think he'll end up there. I kind of doubt that. I don't think he's going to go down there. He's a saint, yeah, he's a really good person."
(You have to wonder who Kovach is trying to convince. Anyway...)
"But I feel like Angel and Jax," continued the voice actor, "I think they wouldn't get along. I think that Jax would think that Angel's trying too hard and vice versa. Angel would think that Jax is trying too hard, and they just kind of piss each other off. I think they'd get into little tussles, but they're more alike than they think. So, they would actually be good friends if they talked, but they won't talk. That's how I feel. They just they just get little pitterpatter arguments with each other for no good reason."
Sounds like it wouldn't be a fun time for either character, and that's saying a lot for individuals trapped in (respective) hells. That said, I bet I could point toward a ton of fans who would pay a lot of money to watch their "little pitterpatter arguments."
Hazbin Hotel is streaming now on Prime Video, and The Amazing Digital Circus is on YouTube.
