Krysten Ritter wants to do a Jessica Jones/Punisher MCU team-up: "We're goth mom and dad, come on"

Krysten Ritter knows what she wants from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (and now you'll want it, too)

One of the joys of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the chance to see your favorite characters interact with each other when you least expect it. Just ask Spider-Man, who’s managed to sneakily transform his Sony movies into stealth episodes of Marvel Team-Up — but when it comes to the small screen, one MCU actor knows exactly what team-up they want to be part of.

“I think that Jessica could have a 12 minute scene with Punisher. Why not?” Krysten Ritter declared onstage during the Daredevil: Born Again panel at C2E2 2026. “’I’ve never worked with Jon [Bernthal, who plays Frank Castle in the MCU]. We've never done anything together, but we're like, goth mom and dad. Like, what's going on, you know? There's so much attitude, it would be really cool. So that's my official pitch, Marvel, if you're listening.”

Okay, for real: Someone from Marvel should start working on this right away. After all, we know that Bernthal is already spinning out his own Punisher special from the first season of Daredevil: Born Again, so why can’t we have a Jessica Jones/Punisher special as well coming from the show’s second season? But, Krysten, let’s not limit things too much: only 12 minutes? Everyone would watch for far longer than that.

The gauntlet has been thrown, Kevin Feige. And judging by the response in the room when Ritter mentioned it, it’s something that the fans would want to see as well.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is streaming new episodes weekly on Disney+.
