The world is a difficult place right now, so here is some good news. Krysten Ritter is back to play Jessica Jones for Daredevil: Born Again season 2!

Variety broke the news that Ritter joined Daredevil actor, Charlie Cox, onstage at a Disney shareholders meeting to break the news. Ritter said, "It’s so great to be back, returning to Jessica after three seasons and ‘The Defenders’ and now joining the MCU. I’m so excited to bring back this iconic character, and without giving too much away, there is much more in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season!”

It makes perfect sense for Jessica Jones to join Daredevil in season 2 of the Disney+ show. Born Again largely stayed away from integrating Daredevil into the larger MCU, aside from an entire episode Matt Murdock spent with Ms. Marvel's father. If you know anything about the world of Marvel Comics, or even Daredevil's comics in general, you'd know that the Man Without Fear often crosses paths with other vigilantes in New York City, like Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Spider-Man, you name them. It's about time that his MCU counterpart reunite with at least one of his teammates from The Defenders.

Now, the real thing I'm waiting for is the return of Mike Colter is Luke Cage. After all, Luke Cage played a pivotal role in Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto's Devil's Reign event, that season 1 of Born Again borrowed elements from. You can't have Jessica Jones without her comic book husband, Luke Cage.
