Marvel Studios' Scarlet Witch Elizabeth Olsen doesn't remember recording her Marvel Zombies dialogue

At Los Angeles Comic Con 2025, Elizabeth Olsen revealed that she recorded her Scarlet Witch dialogue for Marvel Zombies "ages" ago in her house

Scarlet Witch fans everywhere are compelled by Wanda Maximoff's turn as the Queen of the Dead on Marvel Zombies, which has begun streaming on Disney+. In case you haven't been watching, this version of Wanda is zombified and in control of the legions of undead within this alternate Marvel Universe. While the MCU has certainly dabbled with putting Wanda in a horror scenario (hello, the Sam Raimi-directed Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), Marvel Zombies has embraced her full potential as a horror queen.

At Los Angeles Comic Con, actress Elizabeth Olsen was asked by a fan about her thoughts on Wanda's turn as the Queen of the Dead on Marvel Zombies. "You guys, I truly recorded that years ago. And I can't remember anything. I can't remember anything! I need to watch it. I have no idea what Marvel Zombies has," Olsen began. "I filmed it, it's my voice. I did it in my house! It wasn't even in an office space. Like I'm so confused... This must have been 2020 or 2021, why was I working in my house and not in a studio?! So I really have no idea what it was like. I'm so sorry!"

The actress went on to say, "That's how long animation takes. Animation takes ages!"

So now, one of the remaining mysteries of Marvel Zombies is not only whether or not the heroes of this universe will be able to overcome the virus, but also the question of when Elizabeth Olsen originally recorded her dialogue, and why she recorded in her house. The answer may forever remain unsolved, but I think we can all live with that!
