David Harbour’s time in Hawkins, Indiana has come to an end, and he can’t help but reflect. Stranger Things wrapped filming in December 2024, concluding a journey that began for Harbour in 2015.
“The kids grew up and I also grew up with the show,” Harbour says during a panel at Tampa Bay Comic Convention. “It’s been nine years that we’ve made the show. We started, what was it, like August of 2015. So, the amount that I’ve learned. We went through COVID together. We just went through everything.”
“This show changed my life in terms of being an international presence in the world. I had to learn a lot about that. It taught me about relationships, about people, about acting, about all kinds of stuff. It was a huge growth time for me.”
For Harbour, the show changed his career, but the friendships changed his life. For some people, Stranger Things was a 42-episode streaming series. For Harbour, it was a decade of his life where his star power rose, he grew as a person and made life-changing friendships. It’s hard to think of anything more special than that.
Stranger Things season five premieres November 26 on Netflix.
