Hannibal creator wants to revive classic series - but not the one you're thinking
While promoting his new movie Dust Bunny, Hannibal's Bryan Fuller revealed a pitch exists for Pushing Daisies season 3

Look, if you're reading this article, there's a pretty high chance you keep an eye on rumors of a Hannibal season 4. I know we certainly do. But just because that show is one of the best police procedurals ever done (and made cannibalism, let's face it, seem kinda great) doesn't mean it's the only project that creator Bryan Fuller would like to return to.
Actually, he and the entire Pushing Daisies cast would like another shot their show.
The topic came up during a recent interview Fuller did with ComicBook.com while promoting his new film, Dust Bunny, which stars Hannibal pal Mad Mikkelsen. Confirming that he "absolutely" wants to revisit the whimsical crime drama (which stars Lee pace as a man who can bring back the dead), Fuller revealed he's heard similar wishes from the show's cast.
"We have a season three pitch," Fuller said, "And the entire cast wants to come back, and we’re hoping we get to return to them. We just have to find somebody who wants to make it."
Well, yeah - ain't that always the way? Somebody's going to have to pull out their wallets to make the series, and if that somebody isn't a Disney subsidiary, then part of that money is going to go toward securing rights (remember, the show aired on ABC for its 2007-2009 run). That said, we'll remind you as we've stated above that the show starred Lee Goddamn Pace, and if both he and the show's in-demand creator are willing to return, it may not be very long until the series is revived.
Wait, revived! Ha! I didn't even know I was making that pun until I wrote it. Jotting this down for when contract negotiations come up next year.
Pushing Daisies is streaming now on HBO Max.
The Murder Husbands themselves were at Emerald City Comic Con 2025, and we recorded the whole panel.
