Marvel Studios's iconic She-Hulk line about Captain America f**king was almost cut
One of the greatest moments of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was almost put on the cutting room floor.

In 2022 we found out that Captain America fucks, and the world hasn’t been the same since. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’s premiere episode ended with a credits scene where Jennifer Walters presses Bruce Banner for details on Captain America’s sex life. After being worn down and emotionally manipulated, Banner reluctantly reveals that Steve Rogers lost his virginity to an unknown girl during a World War II era USO tour.
Feeling vindicated, Jennifer Walters shouts, “CAPTAIN AMERICA FUCKS!” Well…almost. The final syllable of the line was cut short, but it was more than clear what she was saying.
It was a great way to kick off She-Hulk, but according to series star Tatiana Maslany, the line was almost cut.
During an appearance at ACE Superhero Comic Con 2024, Maslany was asked by moderator Sean Tajipour what her favorite line from the series was. Her answer was immediate and enthusiastic.
“CAPTAIN AMERICA FUCKS! Which almost didn’t make it into the show. That day me and Mark [Ruffalo] were drunk or whatever. We were sitting at that bar for three hours and they kept throwing different lines at me to sort of soften it. It could never be softened.”
Perhaps cutting the end of the line was Marvel’s way of compromising. I’m glad Maslany and Ruffalo stuck to their guns, because you can’t compromise on a line like this.
