The prop Superman & Lois star Bitsie Tulloch got as a series finale parting gift was one that never actually made it onscreen

Tulloch, who played Lois Lane in the CW's Arrowverse between 2018 and 2024, also retrieved a piece of costuming that may or may not have something to do with a Batman villain

Clark Kent's glasses, Jimmy Olsen's camera - despite how much you look up to the Man of Steel, there are certain items on a Superman set that it would be difficult not to swipe. So, when Popverse's own video producer Ashley Victoria Robinson sat down with Bitsie Tulloch, who played Lois Lane across four seasons of Superman & Lois, she obviously had to ask the actor if the temptation ever got to be too much.

"Did we liberate something from set?" Ashley asks.

"There were certain items in wardrobe," answers Tulloch, "That I was like, 'I will need that. [Lois's] green coat that she wore a lot; I named Veronica. [...] Then there was another green leather jacket that I named Ivy, who is the younger, you know, naughtier sister."

As you've probably noticed by now, both Veronica and Ivy (no, Tulloch didn't clarify whether the coat was named after a certain Gotham City villain) are pieces of wardrobe, not actual props from the show. And according to Tulloch, that's in large part because the actor doesn't like working with props very mucy.

"I don't like props," Tulloch continues, "Unless there's a reason for having props. This is a show we started filming in 2020, [but] I wanted to be old school. They were like, 'Do you think she would just take notes on her phone?' And I was like, 'Absolutely not. I'm playing this iconic reporter; I have to have a little tiny notepad.' So that was sort of my main prop."

"But they had made for me this brown leather briefcase," the actor says, "That says LL on it. They gave it to me at the end of the show, and I was like, 'Did I ever carry this? I don't even remember it.' They're like, 'No, you don't like props, but we figured you I want it. That's hanging in the closet."

"There's nothing in it," Tulloch concludes, "I checked."

Ah. Bummer.

Superman & Lois is streaming on HBO Max now. Watch Popverse's full interview with Bitsie Tulloch below.
