"Keep the tissue boxes close" for The Boys season 5 premiere says the cast, "for all kinds of fluids"

This is a show that has featured some pretty shocking images, so there is no telling what will happen when The Boys returns in 2026.

After the cliffhanger ending to The Boys season four, we’re all wondering what to expect when it returns for its fifth and final season. While the cast wasn’t about to spoil anything for The Boys season five while they spoke at MCM London 2025, they did share how it might make fans feel. According to them, it is going to start with a wild, wild ride.

“I’ll tell you, for me in particular,” Laz Alonso, the actor of M.M., told the audience at The Boys Reunion panel. “Just the first episode. It was the same feeling as when I read Episode 1, Season 1. You turn a couple of pages and you’re like, ‘What?!’ It’s the same thing. We’re finishing how we started from Episode 1. A shocker, and it's gonna be a ride the whole way through. Keep your tissue boxes close.”

Of course, this is The Boys. There is no telling exactly why those tissues might be necessary. Maybe you’ll be crying. Maybe you’ll really be enjoying yourself. “For all kinds of fluids. All the fluids.” Karen Fukuhara, the actor behind Kimiko, added, which Alonso didn’t deny.

“Yeah. Lot of fluids.”

This is a show that featured a superpowered orgy, a shrinking man entering and then exploding out of another man’s member, and more sticky substances than we care to imagine, so that particular warning isn’t without merit. We won’t know until The Boys season five comes out in 2026. Just be sure someone is on clean-up duty when you watch.
