One of the great things about watching The Boys is that you never really know what is going to happen next. The show kicks off with a speedster exploding a woman by running through her, and just gets weirder from there. One of the strangest moments in The Boys has to be Herogasm, the superhero orgy that includes a man with a long, prehensile penis strangling Mother's Milk. Turns out, that might have happened because Karl Urban pitched the idea to series showrunner Eric Kripke.

We’re going to preface this with the fact that it can be tough to know when Karl Urban, who plays Billy Butcher, and Laz Alonso, who plays MM/Mother's Milk, are joking with each other and the fans. During The Boys panel at MCM London 2025, the pair talked about how they reacted to some of the strangest moments in the show.

“You know, there was so much sick, depraved stuff weaved through these scripts, you sort of become a little bit immune to it,” Karl Urban explained. “And sometimes you could miss some key points. And I remember we were all sitting in the back of a van once. We’re like, ‘Hey Laz! Did you read the latest draft of the script?’ and he goes, ‘Yeah. Yeah. I’ve read it.’ I went, ‘Yeah, how about that part where you get, you know, MM gets wrapped around his neck with a giant penis?’ and he’s like ‘No. You’re fucking with me.’ And I’m like, ‘No, I’m serious. I’m serious. There’s… a guy with a giant cock and it wraps around your neck like a scarf!’ And he’s like, ‘Bullshit!’ and he’s like, ‘Give me, give me the latest script.’ AD comes and he reads this thing and he goes, ‘Oh man. Fuck you. You set me up!’”

Just who came up with that idea was a mystery to Alonso, but he had his suspicions. “He thought it was me, but it wasn’t. It was Kripke!” Karl Urban insisted.

“It was him,” Alonso said. “He pitched that idea to Kripke. I found out.”

At this point, Urban, who was sitting right next to Alonso, began to look slightly nervous. “Did you?”

“No, I didn’t,” Alonso admitted. “He just told on himself! Holy shit!”

The thing about The Boys cast is that they have been working together for a long time, so there is every chance that this is just some playful banter between them. However, we choose to believe in a reality where Karl Urban, in full Butcher makeup and wardrobe, walks into Eric Kripke’s office and says, “Listen. I’ve got a diabolical idea.”
