The Flash’s Grant Gustin shares his favorite version of the peace sign at the graveside meme

The Flash's Grant Gustin opened up about seeing his infamous peace sign everywhere on the internet.

Grant Gustin hunched over by Oliver Queen's tombstone, flashing a gloating peace sign celebrating the death of the Green Arrow behind the scenes of the set of an Arrowverse show. The image quickly became a meme that spread across the internet faster than a Speed Force-powered speedster in Flash's rouges gallery. It was shared thousands of times after an Arrow actor posted the image online.

Fans have used Grant Gustin's graveside meme to celebrate the death of characters they don't like or make jokes like about Google Chrome killing off Internet Explorer or heavy metal killing disco. The meme template has been used in many creative ways but Gustin has a clear favorite.

"There's been some captions attached to it I wish weren't attached to it. But I don't know, I feel like sports-related ones are always funnier to me, because I'm a sports guy," Gustin says at FAN EXPO Chicago. "Like whenever someone's been eliminated from the playoffs when it's a team I don't like, at least. But I don't know, for a while there, it was sent to me once a week."

The Flash is available on Netflix.
