The United Kingdom is going to stay faithful for another four years at least, with the BBC signing a new deal to keep The Traitors — and its arguably superior spin-off, The Celebrity Traitors (yes, I said "superior," fight me) — on the air through 2030 at the earliest.

The new deal will ensure that each series will continue to release new annual installments through 2030, although intriguingly, only the core Traitors series was mentioned as a 2030 release in the official announcement made March 12. Under the new deal, The Traitors UK will return for seasons five, six, seven, and eight in 2027, 2028, 2029, and 2030, while The Celebrity Traitors will make its comeback for season two later in 2026, and then run seasons three through five in 2027, 2028, and 2029, respectively.

“We are proud to remain faithful to The Traitors and The Celebrity Traitors until 2030 and wanted to say a big thank you to the outstanding team at Studio Lambert Scotland for bringing it to screen,” BBC head of entertainment commissioning Kalpna Patel-Knight said in a statement about the new deal. “We can’t wait to share many more twists and turns with viewers all across the UK in the coming years.”

Stephen Lambert, CEO of Studio Lambert Scotland which produces the show, added, “The Traitors has become a genuine television phenomenon across the world, but especially in the UK, and we’re thrilled to continue the journey with the BBC. It’s hugely exciting that audiences will have many more years of strategy, suspense and shocking twists still to come.”

In the US, The Traitors has just completed a hugely successful fourth season, and is already renewed through season five, which is expected to debut on Peacock in 2027. Unlike the UK version — or other international versions, for that matter — the US Traitors is traditionally a celebrity version, although an all-civilian version is additionally in the works for NBC. (That version will also be hosted by Alan Cumming.) Peacock, which hosts the US version, also streams both The Traitors UK and The Celebrity Traitors UK.
